Coronary Heart Disease Deaths by County: All counties experienced a decline in the rates of coronary heart disease between 1990 and 2005, with declines approximating almost 50 percent.

Cancer Deaths by County: All counties except Kaua'i experienced a decline in cancer mortality since 1990.  Kaua'i's cancer mortality rate increased 13 percent between 1990 and 2005; in contrast, the cancer mortality rate decreased between 14 to 23 percent for the other Hawai'i counties.
