The counties show marked differences in their ethnic composition.
The proportion that is mixed is consistent across all
counties, at 18 to 20 percent in 2007. Hawai'i has the
largest proportion of Hawaiians/part-Hawaiians at 31 percent.
Honolulu has the largest proportion of Japanese (18 percent),
Mixed (20 percent), and Chinese (5 percent). Kaua'i has the largest proportion of Filipinos (14 percent),
and Maui has the largest proportion of Caucasians
(34 percent).
