DEMOGRAPHICS - Births by County
County  |  Age Group  |  Ethnicity  |  Population Type
Birth rates in all counties have declined from 1980 to 2006. The largest decrease was in Hawai'i and Kaua'i, with decreases of 34.4 percent and 32.9 percent, respectively. Maui experienced a 23.3 percent decrease in its birth rate while Honolulu's birth rate declined the least, at 18.5 percent, due in part to its larger military population.
